Malaco's marketing operations include promotion, positioning, advertising, sales, fulfillment, credit, and collections. Through its jointly-owned, Memphis-based Select-O-Hits, the company distributes audio and video product to independent retailers, chain stores, and one-stop wholesalers.
Malaco's Consumer Division in Jackson markets directly to consumers through mail order, direct-response television spots, catalog sales, inbound and outbound telemarketing, and e-commerce.
Christian book stores, gift and specialty shops, resort destinations, and other outlets are serviced by Malaco Christian Distribution and Mainstreet Productions, a division of Malaco Records.
Malaco Special Products creates custom compilations in audio and video formats tailored to suit the needs of corporate and other clients. Custom compilation packages are crafted from concept-specific themes (revolving around genres, eras, or artists) for clients to mass-merchandise through alternative and traditional retail outlets and direct marketing, as well as for promotional purposes such as sales incentives and premiums.
