Voices Of Victory

The Voices of Victory is one of five choirs at Salem Baptist Church. The choir has traveled nationwide sharing the Gospel through praise, hymns, and spiritual songs. Currently, the Voices of Victory choir has 105 members.

The choir reached critical acclaim in the 1970's recording three gospel music albums. Their album "I Don't Feel No Ways Tired," recorded with the late Rev. James Cleveland, became the No. 1 gospel song on the charts and subsequently received a Grammy Award Nomination in 1979.

Since 1987, the Voices of Victory choir has been under the direction of Salem Baptist Church's Minister of Music, Jay Terrell. Minister Terrell is a gifted arranger, conductor, and songwriter.

The choir recently signed with Blackberry Records and "They That Wait" was their first release which features artist Bruce Parham.
