The New York Restoration Choir

The New York Restoration Choir made it's debut on a live recording I See A World in September 1989, under the extraordinary direction of Donnie McClurkin, a gifted singer/songwriter and a minister of the gospel. The thirty-five-member choir is a combination of select singers and small gospel group members that Donnie had worked with prior to 1989. The name, New York Restoration was given to the group by Savoy's Executive Director, Reverend Milton Biggham.

In the four years since the New York Restoration Choir's beginning, they have performed throughout the United States with memorable performances at: The Democratic Convention for Governor Bill Clinton, The White House for President and Mrs. Bush, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden for the New York Knick's national anthem (3 times), the N. Y. famous Apollo Theater and many more.
