songs and his unmistakable raspy voice that still sounds the same as it did 20 years ago. A featured soloist on a number of albums by the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church Choir, Evans has also issued an impressive number of solo recordings on labels including Savoy, Jewel, Meek and Blackberry.
