The Lumzy Sisters have been one of the key groups on the Gospel Scene in the
United States for more than three decades. Singing in the ‘Quartet Style’ that is mostly a male preserve the Sisters has received numerous awards through the years. In 1990 and 1991, the Lumzy Sisters received the Gospel Academy Award for the best traditional group of the year. In 1996, they were named best female group by the Annual Quartet Convention.


Through performing with her sisters, Quita Lumzy has developed relationships in the Gospel music industry that have strengthened not only their faith, but also a strong sense of family. Recently Quita heard from the Lord that it was her time to perform as a solo artist. Alone with the Marxan Records family, she stepped out on faith to record her first ever- live recording entitled “Quita Lumzy- Live in Charlotte”
