The anticipation of Bryan's arrival to the music spectrum can be closely compared to that of another young musical prodigy of a few years back; Tevin Campbell. "Bryan is a breath of fresh air, not only for gospel music but for the music period," states award-winning artist/songwriter/producer Rev. John P. Kee, the proclaimed Prince of Gospel. Singing is not something Bryan recently picked up or discovered. He's been performing and captivating audiences since the age of four, beginning back in his native home of Danville, Illinois.
A musical veteran at young age of 13, Bryan can attribute his overnight success to a chance occurrence involving the daughter of Bryan's manager, Robert Parker, who happens to be married to the nephew of Executive Director of Malaco Records Gospel Division, Jerry Mannery. It was through this union that Jerry was both introduced and swept away by Bryan's talent and humble spirit. He immediately invited Bryan to be a special guest on the Mississippi Children's Choir recording New Creation. It was through his soul wrenching rendition of His Eye is on the Sparrow, which endeared the name and talent of Bryan Wilson into the hearts of music lovers throughout the country. This eventually led to guest appearances on Rev. James Moore's recording Live at Jackson State University, the Stellar Awards show which aired nationally throughout January 1996, as well as a solo recording contract with Malaco Records.
Proverbs 18:16 states: A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. Bryan's career and ministry in music definitely correlates to that biblical passage, as can be witnessed by the many doors and avenues that have quickly opened up to him. In spite of his current success, and the successes he's sure to experience in the not to distant future, Bryan is determined to always use his God given talent to uplift to Lord's name and to impact the hearts and souls of the multitude that will experience that gift.
