Aptly titled, “Hymns To Hold On To” is a collection of just that - hymns that you will always want to have near! Bishop James Dixon II has taken some of the most powerful, all time favorite hymns and brought them up to date using some of Gospel’s veteran vocalists to perform them. Backed by Houston, TX based Community Faith Mass Choir, each artist brings their own special flavor to the hymn while maintaining its’ authenticity.
This recording, captured in a live performance, is filled with the electricity and anointing of the Holy Spirit that moved through the 2,500 that were in attendance. One of the highlights of the collection is the awesome talent of Minister John Murray playing saxophone on “I AmThine 0’ Lord” and “Blessed Assurance.” The entire album is filled with hair-raising, goose-bump making soulful hymns that create a must have collection for any fan of Gospel music!
